As far back as 1869, Almshouse flats have provided accommodation for single people and couples in Nechells.

Elizabeth and Emma James provided the land and, 150 years later, The James Charities continue to prosper and make homes available.

Many improvements have been made to modernise the flats to ensure residents are afforded high standard, secure accommodation.

Residents benefit from emergency pull-cords connected to a 24-hour response service and a manager onsite five days a week.
